I have recently started scrapbooking and I really enjoy it. I have now started to make some cards but I just can't seem to get the ideas flowing and I am not sure where you start. My cards look boring and just don't have the "WOW" factor that I want them to have. Any tips?
I have been scraping for some years and recently started doing my own greeting cards. I've gotten a lot of my ideas from an old magazine called Paper Crafts. Also you can get ideas by looking through the scrap booking magazines if Vicki's sites don't inspire you.
I was also thinking of having a members category where I could post other members pictures, Im not sure what anyone thinks about that or if they would like to send me some cards to add?
Hi Vicki, I think a Members catagory where you could post pictures of cards made by Members is a terrific idea, especially for those of us who are new to cardmaking and do struggle for inspiration. I belong to a few forums, most of them are cardmaking with a couple of scrapbooking, and they have a section for Members to post pictures of their cards etc. Quite often I have a look there first if I can't seem to find an idea or style myself, although I check that it's ok to use the design first. Maybe in your next newsletter you could ask everyone to let you know if it's a good idea or not. Sue
I could also do with some help to inspire me. I have so much stuff, but seem to have a mental block when it comes to putting anything together. A members catagory sounds great, I'd be more than willing to post photo's of ones that I have made in the past and will make in the future. Princess_leesy. :0)
